1. Create the account. You need an email you can actually open: the confirmation goes there.
2. Confirm the email. Without it the account does not work in game.
3. Download the client from the downloads page and open it.
4. Create the character. The name is permanent, so take your time.
5. Log in and follow the starting guide. It teaches you to walk, attack, pick things up and get back to town.

The three things that trip up most new players

• Leaving town with no food and no healing. Go stocked, every time.
• Hunting above your level. The game does not warn you before, only after.
• Leaving something valuable on the ground thinking nobody will take it. Somebody will.
